CREATION
While commonly found in the wild, berries are currently produced industrially. Cranberries are grown in peat bogs and marshland, other berries are ideal crops for small-scale farming. As such these crops are interesting to improve marginal farmland yield and create an income to small farmers. Berries also help the bee population grow. More and more sustainable agricultural practices are used to farm berries, reducing the impact of pesticides and fertilisers.
CONSUMPTION
Juices, concentrates, purees are further used in healthy drinks, bavarois, jams, ice-cream, yoghurt, sauces, pies, cakes, cookies, syrups, candies all delightful products based on berries, be it cranberries, raspberries, blueberries… This creates a joyful and healthy moment for the consumers.
UPCYCLING
The press cake obtained from oil extraction is milled and formulated in combination with partially bio-based resins (70% bio-based content) to produce a pourable formulation. This formulation is casted to obtain a bio-based table top, with unique looks, texture, feeling, obtained directly from the upcycled co-products.
