Orineo onderscheiden met ‘Biomateriaal van het jaar 2016’ prijs Keulen, 7 April 2016 Ter gelegenheid van de 9e Internationale conferentie over biomaterialen door Nova-Institut in Keulen georganiseerd, heeft de Belgische KMO Orineo de prestigieuze Biomateriaal van het Jaar 2016 prijs gewonnen voor haar product Touch of Nature®. Een 200-tal experten uit de bioeconomie hebben het innoverend karakter en de functionele degelijkheid van het Touch of Nature® materiaal met deze verkiezing beloond. Het materiaal werd reeds met succes gebruikt in een reeks designprojecten, zoals de biogebaseerde toog in de OR Coffee Espresso Bar in Gent. “We zijn bij Orineo bijzonder trots op deze erkenning door onze collega’s. Orineo Voted ‘Bio-based Material of the Year 2016’ By Industry Peers  Cologne, 7 April 2016 Belgian SME Orineo won the prestigious Bio-based Material of the Year Award for its bio-based Touch of Nature® materials at the 9th International Conference on Bio-based Materials in Cologne, Germany, organised by the Nova-institut. The new espresso bar opened by OR Coffee at the Dok Noord site in Ghent, Belgium has a unique countertop made with their own coffee grounds. Orineo used its Touch of Nature material filled with coffee grounds to produce this countertop, with unique soft and warm touch obtained by the hand-finished sanding and polishing. The whole setting consist of vertical panels joined seamlessly to a first countertop and a stand alone island countertop....
